The Dance of Light and Shadow 光影舞曲
You must have shadow and light source both in a photograph. This also resembles our life- we have both elements present in us. However, the nature of our humanity prefers light over shadow because shadow seemingly represents shame and ugliness of us that we do not want others to see. Recently, I learnt a new concept—there are two different kinds of shadow that are worth closely examining, namely dark shadow and golden shadow. The former means “the cellar of our unexamined shame”, and the latter is “your untapped creative potential/unclaimed values”. What is your golden shadow that you might have put in dormancy for so long? It may be the time to rediscover its value and beauty?
